What a weekend! We finally had some nice weather so I was able to plan some outdoor activities. There is nothing better then spending time with your family outside. My daughter loves to play at the park so we had a couple park dates. She also loves playing with bubbles and can literally spend hours sitting on the grass with all our bubble toys. It's such a beautiful thing. On a sad note, I also attended a funeral for an old high school friend. It really puts your life in perspective when a life is cut too short. One takeaway is that life really is a gift and no matter how busy and hectic it gets, you should always stop and appreciate what's around you
As we start a new week, the renovations are resuming in the backyard. As I write this, I'm currently looking at my neighbour's backyard. We are replacing our back fence and building a retaining wall so it's a view that I'm not used to. However, seeing all this makes me anticipate the warmer weather and how much we're going to love our new backyard!
I've been so excited to show you all one of my favourite new outfits. It's definitely too cold to wear shorts but the stores are bringing in all the summer pieces. It's best to get shopping now before your favourites sell out!
I love this outfit, as you can wear it so many different ways. Whether you're going to the office or heading out for patio drinks, this outfit will carry you through. Here, I'm showing you two ways to wear it but you can also pair the blazer with your denim and you have another classic look.

This look is great for the office. I layered the blazer with a sleeveless mock neck top. It's great for layering or you can wear it on it's own with confidence. The blazer is made with linen, so it's a great piece to wear now but will also keep you cool in the summer. All pieces fit true to size and I'm wearing a small in all. I added a nude strapped stiletto but you could also pull off a white or nude closed toe heel as well.
In the second picture, I paired the outfit with my Ugg flats. This is still a great look for the office but the flats give it a casual element. Slip these on and you can run out for a quick lunch or to the patio afterwork.
In this second look, I've removed the blazer and kept the Ugg flats on. This is a casual look and you'll see me wearing this look often this summer. The paper waist shorts are so slimming and the length is perfect on me. If you have been following my posts, you would have seen this Sole Society bag. I'm literally wearing it everywhere and you can see how it can be used for casual or dressy occasions.
